Acclaimed Kollywood music composer Santhosh Narayanan’s electrifying score for Prabhas and Deepika Padukone’s blockbuster sci-fi drama, Kalki 2898 AD, was a rage when the film released in cinemas. SaNa’s score in the crucial sequences of Kalki, especially the Lord Sri Krishna and Karna introduction scenes, gave goosebumps to audiences while watching the movie on the big screen.
During an awards ceremony in Chennai, Santhosh Narayanan made an interesting revelation about the reception to his music in Kalki. “I was apprehensive about the response to my music for Kalki. I asked director Nag Ashwin if he didn’t like the music I composed for Kalki Part 1,” said the star composer.
SaNa went on to say that he was given a free hand by Nag Ashwin and Karthik Subbaraj while composing the music for Kalki Part 1 and Suriya’s soon-to-release romantic action drama, Retro. SaNa’s songs for Retro’s audio album, Kanima and The One, have become huge chartbusters. SaNa will be returning to compose music for Kalki Part 2.
