Hyderabad: The second book of a veteran police officer and author Chilukuri Rama Umamaheswara Sarma titled ‘A’, was released at Jubilee Hills Society Club in Hyderabad.
Rama Umamaheshwara Sharma, who served as a police officer for three and a half decades, wrote the second book ‘A’ after his retirement. His first book, ‘Nenu Shaanta Kooda – O Jeevana Katha’ (Me and Shaanta Too – A Life Story), was well received by readers.
The second book is a collection of short stories exploring the complexities of human relationships, societal expectations, and moral dilemmas.
The author keenly questions the moral framework and values constructed by society regarding human relationships. The stories were noted for closely observing human behavior and thoughts, exploring the motives behind them with great care, and writing them with ease.
Several dignitaries from the literary fraternity and the police department attended the function. Following the success of his first book, “Nenu, Shaanta Kuda – Oka Jeevana Katha”, Sarma returned with his second book ‘A’, offering narratives marked by realism, empathy, and critical reflections on society.
