Pawan Kalyan slams terrorism, supports victim’s family with Rs 50 lakh

VIJAYAWADA: Deputy Chief Minister and Jana Sena Party Chief Pawan Kalyan on Sunday announced financial assistance of Rs 50 lakh to the family of Madhusudan Rao, a native of Kavali in SPS Nellore district, who was killed in the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir.
Speaking at a condolence event held at C.K. Convention Hall in Mangalagiri, Pawan Kalyan strongly condemned the attack and said that killing people on religious grounds is unacceptable. “Even if 26 people are killed, speaking in favour of Pakistan for the sake of votes is not right,” he said. He emphasised that terrorism must be condemned universally, regardless of political affiliation.
He also highlighted the courage of Madhusudan Rao’s wife, quoting her statement: “We went to Kashmir because it is part of our country.” Recalling her words, Pawan Kalyan added, “If this country is not safe for Hindus, where else should we go?” Pawan added that Kashmir belongs to India and that support for Pakistan from within the country is unacceptable.
Pawan Kalyan called for unity against terrorism and said the nation should respond with strength. He also criticised prolonged silence and excessive tolerance in the face of violence, warning it can be dangerous.
He urged citizens to stay alert in the face of communal threats and asserted the need to stand united during such testing times. “We must be ready to face those who create religious hatred,” he said, calling for national solidarity against terrorism.
