Shah Rukh Khan’s much-anticipated film King is set for release in the second half of next year, with shooting slated to begin on May 18.
Directed by Siddharth Anand, who is overseeing pre-production, King is already finalizing its star cast. Along with Shah Rukh Khan, the film will feature Abhishek Bachchan, Arshad Warsi, Jaideep Ahlawat, and Suhana Khan in significant roles.

Rumors are also circulating that Deepika Padukone might make a guest appearance in King. Shah Rukh Khan has long wanted to work with Deepika, but her previous commitments, particularly motherhood, had prevented her from taking on such roles.
However, with the film’s production timeline shifting, her schedule has cleared, allowing her to join the project. Her scenes are expected to be shot in about 10 days later this year.
Another exciting rumor involves Amitabh Bachchan, who might also appear in a guest role. If true, this would reunite Deepika and Amitabh, whose chemistry was a highlight in Prabhas’ Kalki 2898 AD.
This collaboration could further elevate King’s appeal, just as they boosted Kalki’s commercial success. Although these casting details are yet to be confirmed, they could play a crucial role in ensuring the film’s box office success.
