Hyderabad: The Hyderabad police on Saturday issued a lookout notice against four wanted Dacoits including a woman Arpitha from Nepal for their alleged involvement in a major burglary in a businessman’s house in Kacheguda recently.
Deputy Commissioner of Police, East Zone, B Bala Swamy, told Deccan Chronicle that the chances of the four Nepal nationals – Arpitha, Lokendra Bahadur Shah, Depender alias Gajender and Chathurbuj alias Aryan crossing Indian border along with two other unknown persons were brighter and in order to prevent them from escaping to Nepal, the police issued a lookout notice.
“If anyone knows information regarding the four offenders, then the people can inform the police officers immediately. The informers will get a suitable reward for sharing information,” he said.
The four Nepali nationals committed burglary at the house of a businessman Hemaraj by lacing food with sedatives to him and his wife during dinner. After the couple became unconscious, the quartet escaped with gold, cash and other valuables, all worth more than Rs.1.5 crore, Bala Swamy said.
The incident occurred when Hemaraj’s family members went to Bangkok for vacation.
He said one Bheemla was working as a maid servant at the house of Hemaraj. As Bheemla planned to visit her native place in Nepal, she referred to the name of Arpitha to work in the house in her absence. Before going to Nepal, Bheemla started bringing Arpitha to Hemaraj’s house to get accustomed with the daily work for the last one month and in the process Arpitha scouted the house and came to know that gold jewellery and cash were kept in huge quantity in the house.
With the help of her associates, Arpitha and others committed burglary on April 21 and escaped with the booty. The incident came to light when Hemaraj failed to attend morning walk. He did not respond when his friends called him. They came to the house and found lying in an unconscious state.
The Hyderabad police asked the people to exercise more caution while recruiting domestic help. The house owners should always check the antecedents of the domestic helps with the police before employing them.
