Hyderabad woman booked for sexually assaulting teen boy | Hyderabad News

A 17-year-old boy was allegedly sexually assaulted on multiple occasions by a woman at a residence in an upmarket area of Hyderabad, the police said.

The police have registered a Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (Pocso) case based on the complaint of the parents, although a preliminary probe suggested that the boy and the woman, both of whom work as domestic helps at a house in the locality, were reportedly in a consensual relationship.

The boy’s parents said that their son who has recently completed 10th grade has not been keeping well lately and was depressed.

According to the police, the teen boy later confided to his parents that a woman in the neighborhood had sexually assaulted him on numerous occasions.

“When the parents found out, they lodged a complaint. It’s a Pocso case, technically. Whether there is consent or not, it is an offence and action shall be taken as per the law,” a senior officer from West Zone told indianexpress.com.

The boy and the woman work and the boy’s parents too work in the same sector. “They (boy and the woman) know each other well and work together at home,” the officer said.

Apart from Pocso sections, the police have also incorporated relevant sections of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhitha (BNS) in the First Information Report and launched an investigation.
