Vijayawada: The Andhra Pradesh government has transferred four additional directors of medical education (ADMEs) to new roles as principals of government medical colleges and superintendents of teaching hospitals.
According to GO Rt No. 252 issued on Saturday by health special chief secretary M.T. Krishna Babu, Dr A. Suresh, who was serving as ADME and principal of Government Medical College (GMC), Kadapa, has been posted as principal of GMC, Nandyal. Dr T. Jamuna, ADME and superintendent of Government General Hospital (GGH), Ongole, has been transferred as principal of GMC, Kadapa.
Dr D.S.L.V. Narasimham, currently principal of GMC, Kakinada, has been appointed as ADME in the office of the Director of Medical Education (DME) at Vijayawada. He will also continue to hold full additional charge as DME. Meanwhile, Dr G. Ravi Prabhu, superintendent of SVRR GGH, Tirupati, has been transferred as principal of Sri Venkateswara Medical College (SVMC), Tirupati.
In a separate government order, eight professors working in various specialties have been promoted as additional directors of medical education and posted as principals or superintendents of respective government institutions.
