Hyderabad: A 38-year-old cashier, Pavan Kumar, died after he was allegedly bitten by his pet dog in his bedroom in Madhuranagar, police said on Sunday. According to Madhuranagar sub-inspector G Shiva Shankar, Pavan’s roommate P. Sandeep grew suspicious after he did not open the door.
Sandeep was sleeping in the drawing room, as Pavan who had a breathing problem was recently discharged from a private hospital and was on a nebulizer, Shiva Shankar said.
“After being informed, we went to the scene and broke open the door. We found dog bite injuries on Pavan’s private parts. He had been bleeding and had no pulse.” The body was been shifted to Gandhi Hospital mortuary. “We are waiting for the postmortem report to establish the exact cause of death,” Shiva Shankar said.
Pavan a native of Krishna district in AP, worked as a cashier at a private firm while Sandeep is a realtor. They were staying in the same house for the past five years, police said.
