A rather intriguing development took place in TDP, though it was rectified immefiately. The TDP cadre are agitated over a key post being given to G Dinesh Kumar Reddy in SPDCL. It is known that Dinesh Kumar Reddy is an associate of former AAG Ponnavolu Sudhakar Reddy from YSRCP.
Dinesh Kumar Reddy was appointed as SPDCL Madanapalle Division Operation Circle Board legal counsel (BLC) and orders were given too. This created furore among TDP cadre as he was given the key nominated post in SPDCL.

In 2023, August 4, then Opposition Leader Chandrababu Came for the ‘Saguneeti Project Pai Yuddha Bheri’ and toured the Annamayya District. The YSRCP Leaders and Cadre Tried to Instigate Chandrababu and TDP Cadre.
During that time, many cases were filed on Chandrababu and hundreds of TDP members. When the cases came for hearing, YSRCP supporters Ponnavolu and Dinesh Kumar Reddy presented arguments.

Remembering this, the TDP cadre posted extensively on social media against the appointment. Madanapalle MLA Shahjahan Basha and party observer Sivaram Pratap brought the issue to the notice of party state president Palla Srinivasa Rao. Immediately, SPDCL CMD Santosh Rao withdrew the appointment. This cooled down the cadre.
Now the party higher-ups are trying to find out who proposed the name of Dinesh Kumar Reddy to begin with.
