Colonel Sameer Sharma, officiating Deputy Director General of the National Cadet Corps (NCC) Directorate for Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, met Telangana Governor Jishnu Dev Varma at Raj Bhavan on Tuesday, May 6. During the visit, Col. Sharma presented a memento on behalf of the Director General of NCC and briefed the Governor on the Directorate’s contributions to nation-building.
Highlighting the NCC’s role in grooming cadets into responsible and disciplined citizens, Col. Sharma underscored the organisation’s long-term vision of preparing youth for leadership roles across various sectors. Seeking the State’s financial and administrative support for the initiative, Col. Sharma requested the Governor’s assistance in strengthening NCC’s presence and operations. The Governor assured him of the Telangana government’s cooperation in this regard, said a release.
