Hyderabad: Telangana Board of Intermediate education(TGBIE) has extended the deadline for payment of the fees for Intermediate Public Advanced supplementary examination (IPASE) which are scheduled from May 22. The last date for payment of exam fee is extended till May 8 with a late fee of Rs 1,000. This extension applies to both first and second year students for both general and vocational streams.
Sri Narasimha Jayanti celebrations on May 11
Hyderabad: Hare Krishna Golden Temple will celebrate Sri Narasimha Jayanti with day-long spiritual and cultural events on May 11. The festival marks the divine appearance of Lord Narasimha, the half-man, half-lion incarnation of Lord Vishnu, who manifested from a pillar to protect His devotee Prahlada from his demonic father Hiranyakshipu. The Hare Krishna Golden Temple among the ancient Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temples of Hyderabad. The temple’s deity is a Swayam Vyakta (self-manifested). Sri Satya Gaura Chandra Dasa Prabhuji, president of Hare Krishna Movement, said elaborate arrangements were underway for the celebrations which will be held at Telangana’s first golden temple.
SCR to operate 26 special trains
Hyderabad: South Central Railway said it would operate 26 special trains between Charlapalli and Srikakulam Road from May 12 to June 25. Train 07421 will run from Charlapalli to Srikakulam Road every Tuesday between May 13 and June 24. Its return service, Train 07422, will run from Srikakulam Road to Charlapalli every Wednesday from May 14 to June 25. These trains will do seven trips each and stop at stations like Nalgonda, Guntur, Vijayawada, Rajahmundry, Duvvada and Vizianagaram. Another set of special trains, No.s 07425 (between May 12 and June 23, 2025) and 07426 (May 13 to June 24) will run on Mondays and Tuesdays respectively doing six trips each. These trains will stop at stations like Kazipet, Warangal, Khammam, Eluru, Samalkot and Tuni.
