Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy held an emergency meeting on security at the Integrated Command Control Centre in Hyderabad to “review all security preparations post Operation Sindoor”.
The Chief Minister discussed security measures to safeguard all major installations and key strategic central and state government locations, a statement from the CM Office said. Leaves of all government employees in emergency services have been cancelled.
“All employees should be ready to render their services. All ministers and officials should also be available and cancel all foreign trips, if any,” Reddy said.
The CM also asked the police to detain all irregular Pakistani and Bangladeshi nationals, if any, living in the state. “A hotline communication system should be established in the command control centre. Strict action will be taken against those who disturb peace and security,” the CMO statement said.
Reddy also instructed Hyderabad police to be on high alert and hold talks with peace committees, if necessary. “The police department should also keep an eye on the movements of history sheeters and habitual offenders,” the Chief Minister said.
He warned government officials against making controversial statements. A toll-free round-the-clock number will be provided to the public in case of distress, he said.
“The state government will provide total support and cooperation to, and work along with, the National Armed Forces,” the statement added. The state is “on vigilance” and the “CM will personally review the situation on war-footing and ensure security, safety, and ensure total vigilance in Hyderabad, and all cities, towns and villages across Telangana,” the statement read.

The CMO has advised people to “keep vigil”, but also to “be totally reassured that the Centre and state are working together for their safety”. The statement requested “total cooperation from all citizens at this hour”.
According to the statement, Reddy emphasised that “a strong message of supporting the Indian Army by the entire nation should be sent out. There is no room for politics and different parties should maintain restraint in the difficult times”.
The CMO has asked for health officials to stockpile blood banks and emergency medicine. “Information about the availability of beds in the private hospitals should be updated from time to time. Coordination should be maintained with the Red Cross. Food stock should also be made sufficient,” it said.
The Chief Minister also mentioned cyber security and “warned those who peddle fake news and create panic”.

“A special cell will be launched to curb fake news, which could cause anxiety and panic among people,” the CM said. The police were directed to connect all CCTV cameras to the command control room in the three police commissionerates in the Greater Hyderabad region. “Step up surveillance and enhance security in all district headquarters and sensitive areas. Tighten security at all foreign consulates in Hyderabad. Enhance security measures at all IT companies,” the CM told officials.
