Berry Motorbike Show is held at Berry, a small town in New South Wales to the South of Sydney

Hi All, I wanted to share pictures from a Motorbike show I attended with my riding mates last Sunday.
The day was nice and beautiful, no rains and temperature just right. Also, since I needed to put in more kilometers on my R1 this was a good day to ride.
Berry Motorbike Show is held at Berry, a small town in New South Wales to the South of Sydney, around 160 kilometers from my place.
So as planned we met up at my friend’s place at 8 in the morning and what followed was a day well spent riding through Royal National Park, Sea Cliff Bridge, Kiama and enjoying some nice coffee and food in between.
Without wasting any more time, let me share the pictures.
Before that, I dropped my R1 for the first time since I brought her. It was a silly mistake that could have been avoided. And what’s more silly is that the entire ride was uneventful, except for the last part where we entered Berry Bowling Club for the show, and I was trying to park on a grass lawn.
At the same time my friend on his BMW S1000XR was also trying to park on the grass lawn and needed help with it.
In my bid to help my friend I didn’t realise the soil was soft and my bike was leaning way more than it should normally. Within a few seconds of me turning my back, it crashed slowly on to the grass. That’s the best possible way anyone would ever hope for when dropping their bike i.e. if they ever dropped it in the first place.
Fortunately, no damages to the bike, just some hurt ego which was all ok once everyone rushed in to lift the bike and lend a helping hand.
And about the comfort of doing almost 400 kilometers round trip on the R1, well it is no sports tourer, and I reached home tired but satisfied with the ride. On other thoughts, I think more than the ride, it was the thought of cooking dinner for my wife once I reached home that made it more tiring. Also, the fact that I make good mutton curry and I had brought mutton a night before made my wife more impatient.
But all’s well when the day ends well and the mutton curry turns up equally fantastic.
