Hyderabad:Governor Jishnu Dev Varma administered the oath of office to Dr G. Chandrashekar Reddy as Chief Information Commissioner CIC), at a ceremony in Raj Bhavan.
Dr Reddy, a 1991 batch Indian Forest Service Officer, last served as Chief Minister’s principal secretary. He was previously principal chief conservator of forests and vice-chairman and managing director of the Telangana Forest Development Corporation Ltd.
Dr Reddy will serve as CIC at the Telangana Information Commission for three years or until he attains age of 65. Legislative Council Chairman, G. Sukhendar Reddy, Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao, DGP Dr Jitender, officials from Chief Minister Office were present at the swearing-in.
