Infant among 3 killed in Medak accident

Hyderabad: Three people, including a one-and-a-half-year-old boy, died in a road accident after two cars collided on Venkatraopeta Road in Medak district late on Sunday night.
Police reported that Mohammed Ali, 50, Asma Begum, 45, and Ghouse died, while six others were injured. The incident occurred as they were travelling from Narsapur to Bollarum.
According to the complaint, Ali, Asma, and their younger daughter had gone to Narsapur to visit the couple’s elder daughter, Peerum. Later, Peerum’s three children, including Ghouse, joined Ali’s family for the journey to Bollarum.
While their vehicle was travelling along National Highway 765 at Venkatraopeta, it was struck by a car coming from the opposite direction. Ali died at the scene, while the other two succumbed to their injuries after being taken to hospital. The remaining injured individuals were transferred to Osmania General Hospital (OGH) for further treatment after receiving initial care in Medak district.
Ali’s family are residents of Jeedimetla. Based on the complaint lodged by the deceased’s relatives, the driver of the other vehicle, Harish Reddy, has been charged with alleged negligent driving causing death.
