The State Council of Educational Research & Training (SCERT) and the Department of School Education have invited nominations from teachers and headmasters of government schools, residential educational institutions, and KGBVs, on best practices being followed in their institutions.

According to the SCERT, a State-level conclave would be organised to recognise the best efforts of teachers to boost improvement. The decision to conduct such an event was taken in response to a recent training course held for District Educational Officers, and principals of DIETs, IASE and CTEs.

Presentations, particularly by teachers Ravi Raj (MPUPS, Admapur), B. Bhavani (MPPS (G), Gandhari) and Rangaiah (MPPS, Sawarkheda), struck a chord with a wide section of teachers and participants.

The conclave would look at a wide range of initiatives on attendance, enrolment, classroom innovations, community participation, and overall quality improvement of schools, among others.

Teachers can self-nominate their entries on a google form available on the official website: https://scert.telangana.gov.in/ by May 15.
