POLYCET To Be Conducted on May 13


Warangal: The State Board of Technical Education will conduct Polycet (Polytechnic Common Entrance Test) on Tuesday, from 11 am to 1.30 pm, for admissions into three-year diploma courses in engineering, non-engineering, agriculture, and veterinary streams in government and private polytechnic colleges.

Dr Bairi Prabhakar, Principal of Government Polytechnic and Polycet coordinator for Warangal district, in a statement released here in Hanamkonda on Sunday, said all arrangements have been completed for the smooth conduct of the examination. He said 6,424 students had registered for the exam from 12 centres in Warangal.

Candidates were advised to report at the centres by 10 am, an hour before the exam commences. They must fill out both sides of the OMR sheet and sign where required before the exam starts. No candidate will be allowed inside the exam hall even a minute after 11 am, he said. Approximately 1,06,000 candidates are expected to appear for the exam across Telangana.

Students were asked to bring essential items, which include HB/2B black pencil, eraser, blue or black ballpoint pen, hall ticket with photograph, if a photo is missing on the hall ticket, a passport-size photo and a valid ID proof (Aadhaar card), which is mandatory. Electronic gadgets, including mobile phones, are strictly prohibited inside the examination centres.
