Hyderabad:Police with the assistance of forest officials arrested three persons who were in possession of deer meat, Task Force DCP Y.V.S. Sudheendra said.
Hassan Bakran, Hamid Bin Haqani and Shaik Abdul Rahman Badahayya Al Amoodi were picked up during a raid on the house of the first accused. Bakran revealed that he procured deer meat from Haqani and shared it with Amoodi. The meat was purchased from one Rizwan of Maharashtra, who is absconding.
Five Held in Separate Drug Busts
Hyderabad: In separate cases, the state excise cops arrested four persons involved in ganja peddling and another person found selling alprazolam and seized drugs worth `8 lakh on Saturday. At the Secunderabad railway station, excise teams arrested Md Salam, Asif Khan and Md Salman with 2.3 kg of ganja. In a raid at a house in Radhakrishnanagar, Attapur, police seized seized 615 grams of alprazolam and arrested Lal Shivraj Goud.
Youth Dies by Suicide in Amberpet
Hyderabad:Tirumala Shetty Vamshi Krishna, 25, died by suicide at his rented house in Vaninagar in Amberpet reportedly after losing money on online betting. Amberpet police said Krishna had borrowed the money from various people and was unable to repay it.
Vamshi’s elder Tirumalla Pavan grew suspicious after he did not respond to his calls and asked his friend Anand Kumar to check, police said. Anand rushed to his house and found that Vamshi latched the main door from inside and did not respond. He called the police who along with the neighbours broke open the door and found Vamshi’s body.
Vamshi, a native of Kavalli village of Nellore district, worked as a supervisor in a city theatre and was staying in a rented house for two years. Police informed his family members at his native place after the postmortem at OGH victim’s body was handed over to his family members for his last rites on Saturday.
