Hyderabad Traffic Advisory For May 13: Key Roads To Close For Miss World 2025 Heritage Walk At Charminar (Representative Image)

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Traffic Police has issued a traffic advisory for May 13 due to the 72nd Miss World 2025 Heritage Walk at Charminar and a dinner event at Chowmahalla Palace. According to the officials, the restrictions will be in place from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Several roads in the Old City will be closed or diverted to make way for the event. According to The Hindu, the restricted roads will be:

These include the routes:

  • Madina to Charminar
  • Charminar to Shalibanda
  • Shalibanda to Volga Junction
  • Volga Junction to Moosabowli via Khilwat Road

Traffic diversions include:

  • Vehicles going from Nayapool to Charminar will be diverted at Madina towards City College.
  • Traffic from Shalibanda and Nagulchintha towards Charminar will be diverted at Himmatpura.
  • Roads near Volga Junction will be blocked depending on traffic flow — no vehicles will be allowed towards Chowmahalla Palace.
  • Vehicles from Puranapool will be diverted at Moosabowli.
  • Roads from Chowk Maidan, Etebar Chowk, Mitti ka Sher, and Lakkad Kote will also have alternate routes.

Even RTC buses will be diverted or limited in this area, using routes like Chanchalguda, Saidabad, and Aramghar.

Heavy traffic is expected around major junctions like MJ Bridge, Nayapool, Madina X Road, Shalibanda, and Laldarwaza. People are advised to plan ahead and take different routes.
