Yesterday, the trailer for Ace was released and has received mixed responses from audiences, as it feels outdated with usual commercial elements.

After Maharaja, Kollywood audiences expected that Vijay Sethupathi would carefully choose his lineup and deliver back-to-back successes, but Ace feels like a routine entertainer, and some believe Vijay Sethupathi is losing his track.
Many viewers, after watching the trailer, have responded on social media that despite the grand visuals, nothing worked, and even Sam CS’s background score felt like a low-effort attempt.
