Miss World 2025 Participants Rock Hyd With Heritage Walk


Hyderabad:Miss World contestants from 110 countries visited Charminar in Hyderabad on Thursday and took a heritage walk through Laad Bazaar. Some contestants danced to the traditional Arabic Marfa beats that welcomed them. After a short photo session, they went inside the Charminar, where tour guides explained to them about its history and importance.

Later, the patent contestants walked through Lad Bazaar, stopping to shop for bangles, pearls, and handmade jewellery. A few contestants watched how the bangles were made and praised the local artisans.

Mohammad Jubeir, whose outlet is 100 years old, had made special bangles for each of the contestants. Each bangle had the contestant’s photograph, along with their country’s flag designed in it.

“We are proud that Telangana is hosting such a big event. Nothing like this has happened in this Lal Bazaar in the last 100 years,” he said.

Many shopkeepers gave bangles to the contestants for free of cost. “They are our guests, and we are happy to give them.” one vendor said. Laad Bazaar was decorated with colorful lanterns and high security by the police completed the scene.

Eight shops were selected for security and safety reasons. Most shops near Charminar remained closed. “Police told us to stay inside our shops even if it is open. We knew there would be no business today. Also other shops are closed due to this event.” said Abdul R., a local shopkeeper.

The contestants then went to the Chowmahalla Palace where they were welcomed with a show of culture of the Old City. The contestants watched a video about Charminar, the palace, and other historic places in Hyderabad. They also visited a photo exhibition and saw items used by the royal family.

A grand dinner was hosted at the palace. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy with his family, and ministers Jupally Krishna Rao and Ponnam Prabhakar joined the dinner with the contestants along with senior officials and celebrities.
