Overall collections of Rs. 100 crores for any film were enough to call it a blockbuster a few years ago. But the time has changed now and it has become necessary for big films with big superstars to collect Rs. 100 crores on one single day.
While none of the Bollywood films in the last 3-4 years have managed to achieve the above-mentioned number, a few of them were close to touching the mark.

The list includes Pathaan and Jawan, where the gross collection of the former was between Rs. 70-80 crores and the latter had Rs. 90-95 crores. The numbers used to be less than today’s expectations in the past for films like Om Shanti Om, Dabangg, Ra One, Happy New Year, Ek Tha Tiger, and more.
A few big films are releasing by the end of this year. However, there is only one of them that is expected to collect Rs. 100 crores gross from India only in Hindi, and that is War 2.

The upcoming installment of the YRF Spy Universe is releasing on August 14, 2025, and as per reports, producer Aditya Chopra and director Ayan Mukerji have prepared some amazing action sequences that were never seen in Bollywood films in the past.
The first part was praised for its stylish execution of the main storyline, and the climax twist left a lot of people in shock. War 2 has a possibility of not following the same format, and everything will be revealed once the film arrives in theatres.

The last few films of Hrithik Roshan did not perform so well at the box office. However, his character Kabir in War is something that audiences love to see and enjoy on the big screen.
Moreover, War 2 features Jr. NTR as the villain, and he has managed to become a popular face in the North Indian market after RRR and Devara.
However, the promotional material will decide the possible fate of the film at the box office.
Considering that Ayan Mukerji does not have experience in handling such films, let’s wait and see if he can bring back the same feeling in War 2 like Siddharth Anand did in the previous film.
