Director Puri Jagannadh, known for sharing his thoughts under Puri Musings, the other day he spoke about what it truly means to be a strong person.
According to him, strong individuals are not the ones who shout or cry when life hurts them. Instead, they remain silent. They don’t create drama, seek attention, or complain about the unfair things that happen to them. Even when deeply hurt, they choose to walk away quietly, carrying their pain within.
Puri says such people think a hundred times before trusting or bonding with someone again. Once they are let down, it becomes difficult for them to believe in relationships, people, or even the system. They may appear normal from the outside—smiling, talking kindly, being friendly—but on the inside, they are more guarded than ever.
What sets them apart is their grace under pressure. They don’t retaliate. They don’t seek revenge. They don’t transfer the hurt caused by one person onto others. They simply grow more careful, more selective, and stronger after every betrayal.
Puri’s message is simple: life will test you, and people may hurt you, but real strength lies in how calmly you rise above it. Learn your lessons, stay kind, protect your energy, and move forward in silence.
