Hyderabad: The Civil Supplies department has distributed fine rice to as many as 5,96,925 ration card holders out of 6,36,452 in Hyderabad through Public Distribution System (PDS) in Hyderabad as on May 14, 2025.
The distribution of fine rice in Hyderabad commenced from May 2025. The allocation of rice for Hyderabad for the month of May 2025 is 14334.678 MTs, out of which 13805.320 MTs have been distributed to as many as 5,96,925 ration card holders out of 6,36,452 card holders, which is around 93 per cent as on May 14, according to a statement.
The officials interacted with beneficiaries who expressed their utmost satisfaction in drawing fine rice supplied by the State government. Officials have been conducting inspections on a regular basis to curb diversions of PDS stocks.
In order to avoid inconvenience to card holders who have not drawn their entitlements, the department has extended the date of distribution up to May 17, 2025. All the card holders were informed to avail this opportunity in drawing essential commodities for May 2025.
