Bank credit card recovery executive injured after customer sets dog on him; case registered

Hyderabad: A bank executive suffered injuries when a customer set a pet dog on him in Jawahar Nagar on Thursday evening.

The incident occurred when Koduri Satyanarayana, an RBL Bank employee, attempted to collect dues from the customer, leading to a confrontation that turned violent.

According to Madhura Nagar police, Koduri Satyanarayana, 39, had visited the residence of one Nandivardhan Rao Baddepareddy in Jawahar Nagar to collect an outstanding credit card payment of Rs 2 lakh.

Upon reaching the first floor of the house, he was informed by Rao’s relatives that he was not present. However, Satyanarayana reportedly replied, “Don’t lie, I just enquired downstairs, and they said Nandivardhan is at home,” before beginning to leave.

As Satyanarayana was exiting the premises, Rao allegedly confronted him. Rao reportedly questioned Satyanarayana’s identity and, upon learning he was a bank representative, verbally abused him, slapped him on both cheeks, and smashed his mobile phone on the ground. The situation escalated further when Rao allegedly pushed his pet dog toward Satyanarayana, resulting in the dog biting him on the left leg.

Frightened and injured, Satyanarayana fled the scene and sought medical attention at a nearby hospital. He later informed his manager, K. Harish, who, along with staff members Prakash, Javeed, and Praveen, accompanied him to the Madhura Nagar Police Station to file a complaint.

Based on the complaint, police have registered a case against Nandivardhan Rao under Sections 115(2), 126(1), 324(2), and 291 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). The case is currently under investigation.
