The Telangana Cyber Security Bureau (TGCSB), under the state police department, on Thursday announced a significant leap in its cybersecurity capabilities through strategic partnerships with Google and SentinelOne.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) inked at the TGCSB Headquarters in Hyderabad will remain in effect for three years and help train Telangana Police in handling and responding to cybersecurity incidents through cutting-edge security solutions at no cost.
Under the MoU, Google will implement its cloud-based Security Operations Center (SOC), Google SecOps, at no cost, through Ilois Digital, an authorised implementation partner of Google Cloud India Private Limited.
The newly forged partnerships will significantly enhance its ability to monitor, detect, and respond to evolving cyber threats.
The solution offers 24×7 monitoring and response to malicious threats and captures real-time data from networks and internet packets.
It applies deep analytics and threat intelligence to correlate alerts and flag malicious cybersecurity incidents, said a statement from Shikha Goel, TGCSB Director, who also serves as the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for the Telangana Police.
Further, as per the MoU, Arete IR LLP will provide Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) services and deploy the SentinelOne EDR solution for TGCSB at no cost.
