The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an alert for heavy rainfall and thunderstorms across several districts in Telangana on Sunday (May 18, 2025).
According to an IMD weather bulletinHeavy Rain is very much to Occur at Isolated Places in Nizamabad, Vikarabad, Sangareddy, Medak, Kamareddy, Mahabubnagar, Wanaparthy, Narayanpet, and Jogulamba Gadwal Districts.
The IMD haso forecast Thunderstorms Accompanied by Lightning And Gusty Winds Kothagudem, Khammam, Nalgonda, Suryapet, Mahabubabad, Warangal, Hanumakonda, Jangaon, Siddipet, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri, Rangareddy, Hyderabad Nagarkurnool and Narayanpet.
In Hyderabad and surrounding areas, the weather for the next 24 hours is expected to remain generally cloudy, with light to moderate rain or thundershowers likely towards the evening or night. Gusty winds may accompany the showers. The city is likely to record a maximum temperature of around 36°C and a minimum of 22°C, as per IMD.
