Hyderabad: South Central Railway (SCR) General Manager Arun Kumar Jain conducted a detailed inspection of Warangal, Peddapalli and Karimnagar railway stations of Secunderabad division on Saturday.
He was accompanied by Bhartesh Kumar Jain, Divisional Railway Manager, Secunderabad division and other senior officials from the headquarters and division throughout the inspection.
Arun Kumar Jain commenced the inspection at redeveloped Warangal railway station undertaken with a cost of Rs.25.41 crore as part of Amrit Bharat Station Scheme (ABSS), wherein he inspected newly developed passenger amenities, station assets, newly built 12-meter Foot-over- Bridge, lifts, escalators, Automatic Ticket Vending Machines(ATVMs), booking office, station façade and circulating area.
He also instructed the officials on the safety measures to be adopted to ensure safe, secure and smooth traffic flow during peak hours. He also instructed the officials to focus on cleanliness of the station building and maintenance of station assets.
Later, The General Manager inspected Peddapalli railway station, wherein he reviewed the passenger amenities, facilities, Station Master’s office and circulating area. He also reviewed the progress of on-going redevelopment works at Peddapalli station being taken up with a cost of Rs.26.49 crore as part of Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. The General Manager also received representations from public representatives at the station pertaining to rail developmental plans in the region.
Arun Kumar Jain conducted a detailed inspection of Karimnagar railway station which has been redeveloped as Amrit station with a cost of Rs.25.85 crore, wherein he reviewed the passenger amenities, facilities, station waiting hall area, booking office, functioning of escalator and drinking water facilities on the platforms, station facade and circulating area etc.,
The General Manager also received representation from public representatives regarding Rail developments in the region.
