Four transgenders, including a minor, were arrested by the Secunderabad Government Railway Police (GRP), in coordination with Railway Protection Force (RPF), in connection with exhorting money from train passengers.
The Accused Were Identified as Palli Surya Bhanu Prakash Alias Janvi, 24, Madasu Vijay Alias Vinita, 24, Cheruku Sai Kumar Alias Satvika, 31, and a minor boy.
According to the police, the four boarded Tata Nagar Express on May 12, 2025. After the train passed Moula Ali station, they began demanding money from passengers in the general coach. When a young male passenger declined, they allegedly surrounded him, threatened him, and forcibly took his purse, which contained ₹10,000. The group then disembarked before Jangaon station. The stolen amount was divided equally among the four.
The police said that the offenders came to Hyderabad from various districts of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, formed a gang about ten months ago, and had been operating together since.
