I had recently installed the touring seats and this was the first long ride after it was installed.

Close to a month late to post this but nevertheless…

Did an overnighter with a buddy of mine to Sakleshpur. It was the Labour Day holiday and a long weekend but could manage to make time for just one night’s stay.

The ride was superb although the traffic was pretty dense on the highway due to the long weekend. Thimma performed beautifully as usual. I had recently installed the touring seats and this was the first long ride after it was installed.

The ride was super comfy, miles ahead of the stock seat and no more chaffed butt cheeks

However, I would suggest others to sample the options available (rally seat is another option in addition to the touring seat) as a friend of mine reported that he tried the rally seat and the touring seats and is still finding the ride uncomfortable.

We booked our stay at Tusk & Dawn, Sakleshpur and it was excellent. The approach road was just perfect for Thimma and other such high ground clearance vehicles. The staff was wonderful, very efficient and courteous. The rooms were clean, decent and cozy. The views and natural ambience were nothing short of wonderful.

Here are some pics from our stay. Highly recommend this place if you are looking for a quiet place to wind down. No mobile network, only sounds of nature to wake up to.
