Hyderabad: Telangana is set to become the first state in the country to implement an AI-powered auto drawings scrutiny system for issuing No Objection Certificates (NOCs), according to Telangana fire department officials. The AI-based, multi-layer system is designed to flag violations in the firefighting system and generate a detailed report in a few minutes — even for high-rise buildings up to 60-floors, which usually take hours for manual inspection.According to the fire department officials, this AI-based automation engine instantly analyses fire safety floor plans, significantly reducing approval timelines, minimising manual errors, and integrating seamlessly with the existing fire NOC application. The scrutinised fire plans are auto-generated along with detailed PFD reports, allowing officers to instantly review fire plans and make decisions, thereby accelerating the approval process.Every drawing is converted into a structured scrutiny pass report, capturing all essential metrics and fire safety data for governance and auditing. Once approved, the digitised floor plans are stored in a central database, enabling firefighters and emergency responders to instantly access building layouts during emergencies — thereby saving time and lives.“This is India’s first and fastest AI-powered scrutiny system for fire NOC approvals. It is currently in trial mode and will be rolled out in a month across the city,” said a senior official in the fire department.
