Fire Near Charminar Kills 9 in Hyderabad Tragedy


A devastating fire broke out on Sunday in Hyderabad, resulting in the death of nine people. The incident occurred near Charminar, in the Gulzar Houz area, when flames suddenly erupted in a residential building. Four families were reportedly trapped inside as the fire rapidly intensified.

According to official reports, nine individuals were charred to death in the blaze. Among the deceased were three women and two children. Upon receiving information from local residents, fire department personnel promptly arrived at the scene and rescued sixteen individuals from the burning structure. The injured were immediately transported to various hospitals for medical treatment.

Medical authorities stated that the condition of two of the injured victims is critical. Based on accounts from local residents, the fire originated on the first floor of the building in the early hours of Sunday. Firefighters managed to save sixteen people who were caught in the flames. The injured were shifted to Osmania Hospital, Yashoda Hospital (Malakpet), DRDO Hospital, and Apollo Hospital.

Officials suspect that an electric short circuit might have triggered the fire. Rescue operations at the site are still ongoing, according to emergency response teams.
