The Kia Carens Clavis is the new, premium 7-seater family car from the South Korean automaker, set to go on sale in India tomorrow (23rd May, 2025). It’s essentially the facelifted Carens with more premium features and styling updates. Bookings for the Kia Clavis are already underway nationwide. The model lineup comes in 7 trims – HTE, HTE(O), HTK, HTK+, HTK+(O), HTX and HTX+ – along with 8 colour options and 6 engine-gearbox combinations.

Kia Leaving key Price Prediction:

Official prices will be revealed tomorrow; however, it’s expected to be offered at a starting price of Rs 11.50 lakh for the base variant and Rs 20 lakh for the top-variant. Buyers will have 8 exterior colour options to choose from including Clear White, Sparkling Silver, Imperial Blue, Aurora Black Pearl, Gravity Gray, Glacier White Pearl, Imperial Blue, Ivory Silver Gloss and Pewter Olive.

The interior layout of the Kia Clavis is largely similar to the Carens (pre-facelift model), available in 6 and 7-seats configuration options. However, the lighter shade seat upholstery and door trims and a larger 22.62-inch dual screen setup differentiate it from the Carens. While the flat-bottom steering is borrowed from the Syros, the design of the AC vents and controls for the Auto AC has also been revised.

The top-end HTX+ trim comes with some exclusive features such as the Level 2 ADAS with 20 functions (DCT only), 8-speaker Bose sound system, dual-camera dashcam with mobile app, 4-way electrically adjustable driver’s seat, ventilated front seats, first row passenger seat sliding lever, second row captain seats with sliding, reclining and tumble, rear door spot lamps with Kia logo projection and rain sensing wipers.

Similar to the Carens, the new Kia Clavis is available with three engine options – a 115bhp, 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol, a 160bhp, 1.5L turbo petrol and a 116bhp, 1.5L diesel. A 6-speed manual gearbox is standard across the range, while a 6-speed torque convertor automatic is available only with the diesel engine. The turbo-petrol can be had with either a 6-speed iMT and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
