Got my front suspension and steering rack replaced recently in my Zest Petrol
BHPian srvm recently shared this with other enthusiasts:
Tata Zest: Suspension and steering rack replacement
Picture of old suspension parts and steering rack
Suspension Parts replaced (both LH & RH): Struts, Bearings, dust cover, Top mount & Stabilizer rod
Other item(s) replaced: Fuel filter
Items in good condition left unchanged: Lower arms, Front springs & Rear suspension.
Total cost: Rs.30,700 (including GST)
Service done at Yes Motors Bosch, Ramagondanahalli, Whitefield, near Varthur Kodi. I have had good experience here since 2023.
Time taken: Dropped vehicle off on Saturday afternoon. Got it back on Tuesday evening.
Experience after service: Oh! Loving the smooth ride over broken Bangalore roads I had got completely used to the harsh ride & creaky noises with the old suspension. Now feels like the magic is back.
Acknowledgements: I had read ownership threads by BHPians Parag Sachania (Maruti Suzuki Ertiga) and Arun Josie (Jeep Compass) to understand details of suspension parts and what/when to change them. Big thanks to them.
