After a long wait, the dates of release for Avengers: DoomsDay and Avengers: Secret Wars are out. While Doomsday is releasing on December 16, 2026, the latter will release on December 17, 2027.
While Marvel fans are happy about the news, the same can’t be said for Bollywood. Why? Because Aamir Khan and Rajkumar Hirani were gearing up to release a biopic on Dadasaheb Phalke on Christmas 2026.

This means the film will be released 10 days after the release of Avengers: Doomsday.
Since Marvel is a bigger name with fans worldwide, including India, there’s no denying that it will be doing some amazing business at the box office.

There’s one thing for sure – either Aamir and Rajkumar must think of shifting the release date for the Dadasaheb Phalke biopic or be ready to take a risk and clash with Marvel.
Rajkumar and Aamir’s combination should also not be underestimated. The duo’s collaboration has always brought good news for theatre owners and distributors.

Although biopics are not easily accepted in Bollywood nowadays, there is a possibility that people might purchase tickets if they find the promotional material attractive enough.
While Rajkumar’s last film Dunki did not manage to do enough business at the box office, the film’s closing collections were reported to be almost Rs. 400 crores, which is not a bad number.
For now, nothing much can be said about the fate of both films. Both are expected to follow the best promotional strategy. But only one will emerge as a winner in the end. Let’s wait until December 2026 to find out.
