Samsung’s last Galaxy A7x smartphone is getting its final major OS upgrade. Galaxy A73 owners are being treated to the One UI 7.0 update, with the initial rollout kicking off on May 22. Select markets in Asia are currently receiving the rollout, but the company should expand it to more and more countries in the coming weeks.
To download the update, head into your phone’s settings, navigate to the Software update menu, and tap Download and install. Alternatively, visit our firmware archive and download the latest firmware from there, then install it on the phone using a Windows PC.
One UI 7 is the last feature update for the A73
As mentioned, this is the final major OS upgrade for the Galaxy A73. Going forward, it will strictly receive only security updates for around a year before Samsung ends all support.
If you think this is the right time to upgrade, the Galaxy A56 is a solid choice as a Galaxy A73 successor. It’s got fantastic performance thanks to the Exynos 1580 chip, and it runs the latest version of Android and One UI and will get OS and security updates for seven years.
