Owaisi visits Bahrain to garner support against Pakistan-sponsored terrorism

Hyderabad: AIMIM president and MP Asaduddin Owaisi reached Bahrain on Saturday as part of an all-party delegation in India’s global outreach against Pakistan-sponsored terrorism. Owaisi said Pakistan was running terrorist camps on its soil, providing them with shelter and support, and terrorists then crossed over into India and carried out attacks. “We will be visiting four countries to present these concerns and realities before them,” he said. In addition to Bahrain, the delegation, led by BJP MP Baijayant Panda, will be visiting Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and Algeria. The delegation was welcomed at the airport by the Indian Ambassador to Bahrain, Vinod K Jacob. Later, the delegation visited the Indian embassy in Bahrain and paid floral tributes to the statue of Mahatma Gandhi. This visit is part of a broader diplomatic outreach involving seven multi-party delegations travelling to 33 capital cities of various countries to expose Pakistan’s terror links and also counter its narrative on the issue. This initiative was taken up by the Narendra Modi-govt at the Centre in the wake of heightened tensions between India and Pakistan after Operation Sindoor, following the Pahalgam terrorist attack in India, which claimed the lives of 26 innocent tourists.
