Vijayawada: Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has expressed confidence that the Mahanadu being held at Kadapa for the first time would be an unforgettable experience in Telugu Desam’s history.
He said the event, scheduled for four days from May 27, is the first Mahanadu since the formation of the present government and it would involve massive efforts. The previous Mahanadus were held in places like Tirupati.
Naidu said the TD has transformed Rayalaseema into a vibrant region. He highlighted the challenges and crises faced by the party. The event would occasion comprehensive discussions on party affairs, government policies, schemes, development programmes and future plans, he said.
The CM, as party chief, said the focus should also be on providing comfortable accommodations and transportation for the attendees. “We would hold comprehensive discussions on leading the state that has lagged behind in all sectors in recent times and chart out a course for its all-round development. We would also discuss the steps taken during the TD government’s tenure with the aim of developing Rayalaseema and the decisions of the present government.”
Fourteen draft resolutions and four joint resolutions have been prepared on the one-year rule of the TD-led government, which would be discussed and approved.
A representative meeting would be held on the first day, in which the leaders would give directions on the party’s organisational structure, ideologies and future activities. On the second day, there would be a lengthy discussion on the welfare and development schemes implemented by the present government, its achievements, implementation of the manifesto and “steps being taken to bring the state out of the devastation caused by the previous YSRC government.”
Pension hike, Deepam-2, Anna canteens, the trend of industries coming to the state with Naidu’s brand image, job and employment opportunities available to the youth, Mega DSC and other issues would be discussed in detail.
The party has prepared draft resolutions for the Mahanadu on topics like the state government’s achievements in the first year, the progress in the construction of irrigation projects including the proposed interlinking of rivers, the diversion of Godavari waters to Banakacharla, the single capital Amaravati – decentralization of development, decentralization with urban-rural development, decentralization of investment, setting up of industrial parks in 175 constituencies, and development of Uttarandhra and Rayalaseema which were exploited under the term of the previous government.
Further revolutionary reforms being brought in the education sector, welfare of women and youth, profitable agriculture with technology, maintenance of law and order, creation of infrastructure, development – support provided by the Center, P4 with the determination of a poverty-free society, Realization of Vision-2020-Achieving Swarnandhra Vision-2047, achievements in the electricity sector, conservation of natural resources, prevention of drought and factionalism in Rayalaseema and construction of the Handri Neeva, Galeru-Nagari, Telugu Ganga, Muchumarri lift irrigation projects to make Rayalaseema area fertile.
