In a major crackdown, Hyderabad city police arrested four individuals involved in a large-scale racket selling counterfeit Apple mobile accessories worth Rs 1.01 crore.

The accused were caught red-handed procuring and distributing duplicate Apple-branded accessories. They had meticulously copied Apple logos and packaging to mislead buyers.
This not only defrauded consumers but also violated the Copyright Act, threatening intellectual property rights and damaging the brand’s reputation.

“How will the public identify them or protect themselves?”
“Authorities should focus on catching the bosses behind this racket, not just the foot soldiers. It’s impossible for an average person to hold goods worth over a crore.”
The seizure is a significant blow to Hyderabad’s counterfeit market, which often endangers consumers by flooding the market with low-quality and potentially unsafe electronics.
The police operation sends a clear message: illegal trade in fake goods will not be tolerated.
Investigations are ongoing to dismantle the entire supply chain and bring all involved parties to justice.
