Parties united in fight against Pak-sponsored terror: Owaisi

Hyderabad: Interacting with prominent individuals in Bahrain, AIMIM president and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi said the problem of terrorism and related activities originates from Pakistan. He stated that unless Pakistan stops aiding and sponsoring terrorist groups, the problem will continue.Owaisi made these remarks as part of an all-party delegation led by BJP MP Baijayant Panda. The Central govt has sent all-party delegations to various countries as part of its outreach to explain to the world about Pakistan-sponsored terrorism in India. This decision was taken after the Pahalgam terrorist attack followed by ‘Operation Sindoor’.The AIMIM president said many lives were lost due to terrorist attacks in India. “Innocent citizens and tourists were killed. Recently, married women became widows in the Pahalgam terror attack, which claimed 26 lives of innocent tourists,” Owaisi said. He called for an international collaboration to combat terror financing and appealed to the Bahrain govt to aid in reinstating Pakistan on the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) grey list.Stating that the political parties have kept aside their differences and the entire country has become “one” in supporting the govt of India’s fight against Pakistan-sponsored terrorism, Owaisi said that Islam condemns terrorism and the Quran clearly says that killing one innocent person is like killing all of humanity. However, terrorist organisations mislead people by misusing and misquoting Quranic verses. No one should be allowed to use religion to justify the killing of people.Owaisi said Pakistan was running terrorist camps on its own soil. “These terrorists then cross over into India and carry out attacks,” he said. The delegation, led by BJP MP Baijayant Panda and comprising Owaisi among others, will be visiting Kuwait, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and Algeria too.
