Hyderabad rains: The southwest monsoon has arrived in Telangana on Monday.

Experts attribute this advancement to stronger-than-usual cross-equatorial winds and enhanced moisture flow from the Bay of Bengal.
Weather officials also say that consistent pre-monsoon showers in May have helped trigger the early arrival. Telangana recorded over 100 mm of rainfall in May, making it one of the wettest in recent years — second only to 2023 when it received over 120 mm.
Forecasts suggest the state could receive over 1,000 mm of rainfall this season, surpassing the seasonal average of 919 mm. In 2024, the state received 962.6 mm of monsoon rainfall, covering 86.5% of the seasonal norm.

Rain is expected through the day under generally overcast skies. The temperature will vary from a low of 22.0°C to a high of 32.0°C.
01-Jun:
The region will experience continued rainfall with overcast conditions. Temperatures will remain steady, ranging from 22.0°C to 32.0°C.
