Redtiger F77 dashcam review after three months of usage BHPian Kelly66 recently shared this with other enthusiasts:Key observations: 4K/30 fps video quality is great both in front and rear Scenic views are captured beautifullyCoimbatore – Bangalore Highway: Front Exposure control is pretty good even when lens is facing the sun directly: Rear Number plate capture is also good: When I parked my car at Bangalore airport for a whole day under direct sunlight, the front camera swivel screw got a bit loose because of the heat. Hinge not holding it’s position: Camera got tilted upwards – Sky view with road underexposed I bought a Torq screw driver set and tightened it (Redtiger guys asked me to send it to Delhi at my cost and they would send it at theirs). The rear camera swivel holder was fine in this heat. Maybe it was a one-off issue. In my first post, I had mentioned that for highway drives setting video resolution at 2.5K/60 fps would be better for capturing number plates at high speed. Since the camera was tilted upwards, during a night highway drive the number plate was not clearly visible because at this resolution the video seems a bit over-exposed and the high beam aggravates itKuthiran Tunnel Thrissur: When I got closer, it became visible, but the colours seemed less saturated at 2.5K/60 fps Switched back to 4K/30 fps and repositioned the camera for the next drive and the exposure came under control & you can see the saturation got better. So, I plan to keep the resolution at 4K/30 fps always: Voice commands like Lock the Video, Turn off screen, work flawlessly. Take picture voice command failed me 3-4 times and then I realised it needs a lot more stress on the “ture” and we have to say it louder to get it right I have included a video showing the following Kerala temple views and sceneries through Redtiger’s eyes: Early morning highway drive at 2.5K/60 fps with camera in correct position – Dawn View (Front) Early morning highway drive at 4k/30 fps – Dawn View (Rear) Night highway drive at 2.5K/60 fps with camera tilted upwards Pattambi bridge over Bharatapuzha Varaha Moorthy temple, Panniyur Meenkulathi Bhagavathy temple, Pallasena Guruvayur Shree Krishna Temple, Guruvayur Day time highway drive near Thrissur – Front & Rear (4k/30 fps) Daytime view of Kuthiran Tunnel – Front & Rear (4k/30 fps) Chottanikara Devi temple Dozing tempo driver rear ending Grey Hulk – lucky to get away without any damage Video Here’s a Before and after image of the bumper thanks to a free rubbing done at a mall: Thanks for reading!
