While the State government has approved filling up 3,036 full-time posts, this process is facing delays on account of technical issues, Telangana State Road Transport Corporation Vice Chairman and Managing Director V.C. Sajjanar said.

Mr. Sajjanar was speaking at a meeting of the TGSRTC’s Employee Welfare Board meeting on Tuesday where he affirmed his commitment to resolve issues of its 42,000 employees. The meeting comes amid strained relations between the TGSRTC’s management and unions.

Speaking to workers, he said the TGSRTC management, with State government support, would solve workers’ issues in a phased manner. Touching upon recruitments, he said that the kin of as many as 2,350 workers who had passed away were given employment in the corporation.

Touching upon criticism over staff being strained on account of the implementation of the Mahalakshmi Scheme, he said the management is cognisant of the workload issue for which drivers and conductors will be recruited on a temporary basis. He also accused the TGSRTC management’s critics of spreading false propaganda.
