Best Actor For Allu Arjun; Bold Statement from Revanth Reddy Govt

The Telangana government announced the Gaddar Awards today, and what surprised everyone is the choice of Allu Arjun for the Best Actor award. The Congress government initiated the awards after 14 years and formed a special committee recently. Most interestingly, when everyone thought that CM Revanth Reddy and the party hold a grudge against Allu Arjun for the Pushpa 2 stampede incident, he picked up a masterstroke by making a bold statement that the government stands with talented people and will not bring in any kind of personal prejudice.

Given a chance, the government could easily sideline Pushpa 2 and Allu Arjun, considering the strained relations between the actor and the government. With NTR’s Devara also in contention and considering Revanth Reddy’s close relationship with NTR, they could have recommended that the award be given to Tarak. However, the announcement of awards makes a bold statement that the jury is independent and has the freedom to make its own choices.

During the release of Pushpa 2: The Rule, a premier show was held at the Sandhya theatre. The attendance of Allu Arjun resulted in a stampede and further created an unrest situation filled with chaos. Later, a woman died in the stampede, with her son battling for life for many months. However, he is currently undergoing rehab. During the entire episode, Revanth Reddy publicly opened up in the Assembly about how Allu Arjun did not obey the instructions of the Police, and later, Allu Arjun also held a couple of press meets, where his comments seemed against the government.

However, things calmed down, but in the minds of everyone, an opinion still exists that things are not well between Allu Arjun and the government of Telangana. But, with the announcement of Best Actor Award to Allu Arjun, things are made clear that the government hold no grudge and would always be ready to encourage the talent, no matter what may have happened.
