Hyderabad: Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board MD Ashok Reddy MD has asked officials to speed up the final works at the Amberpet and Attapur sewage treatment plants (STPs) and make them ready for inauguration as early as possible.
On Thursday, he visited the STP sites along with executive director Mayank Mittal to check the progress of the works.
At Amberpet, Ashok Reddy inspected the works and told officials to complete minor civil works, gardening, painting and internal road construction quickly. He also suggested cleaning the premises, removing garbage and leveling the ground to improve the look of the plant area.
He also visited the Attapur STP and reviewed the work. He asked officials to complete the remaining tasks as soon as possible so that the plant can be opened soon.
Project director T.V. Sridhar, CGM Sujatha, STP project officials and representatives from construction companies were present during the visit.
