Toyota Innova Hycross, Hyryder Hybrid to use RON95 fuel

Toyota Innova Hycross, Hyryder Hybrid to use RON95 fuel Toyota is now recommending owners of the Innova Hycross and Hyryder Hybrid use RON95 or higher fuel in their vehicles. Toyota has updated the owner’s manual, which now clearly mentions that vehicles manufactured from March 2025 onwards should use RON95 or higher fuel for optimum engine performance. For the Innova Hycross, Toyota hasn’t mentioned hybrid and gasoline engines separately, which suggests that it could be applicable to both engines. Similarly, Maruti Invictos manufactured post-March 2025 will also be getting the same change. In the case of the Hyryder and Maruti Grand Vitara, RON95 fuel is recommended only for the hybrid versions, as lower octane fuel could damage the catalytic converter. Non-hybrid versions, though, can continue to use 91-octane fuel. While Toyota recommends fuel with a higher octane rating, which comes at a price, the vehicles should run on RON91 fuel as well, but then you risk early failure of parts.
