Vijayawada: Chief secretary (CS) K. Vijayanand on Friday reviewed with officials at the state secretariat arrangements being made for the visit of President Draupadi Murmu to Visakhapatnam on June 10 to participate in the first convocation ceremony of the Central Tribal University (CTU).
According to the CS, the President will reach Visakhapatnam at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 10, to participate in CTU’s convocation till 3 p.m. She will leave for Jharkhand from Visakhapatnam Airport at 3:20 p.m.
CTU vice chancellor Prof. Tejasvi Venkappa Kattimani participated in the meeting virtually. The chief secretary requested the VC to send all details of the programme to the President’s Office for approval. Similarly, he instructed officials of various departments to make the required arrangements on behalf of the state government.
Others who participated in the meeting included special chief secretary (Medical and Health) M.T. Krishna Babu, principal secretary (GAD) Mukesh Kumar Meena, IT secretary K. Bhaskar, Medical and Health commissioner G. Veerapandian, I&PR director Himanshu Shukla, AYUSH director Dinesh Kumar, DGP Harish Kumar Gupta, and Visakhapatnam district collector Harindra Prasad.
