Filmmaker Puri Jagannath is seen elated as he poses for a photograph with screenwriter Vijayendra Prasad. His partner in the film business Charmee Kaur was seen alongside. Puri shared the pic on his Twitter handle on Friday.
Now every film buff could guess how significant this meeting is for Puri Jagannath who is struggling to get a right break after his two back-to-back disasters ‘Liger’ and ‘Double iSmart’. Fans wrote in comments that Puri would have scored a hit, had he met Vijayendra Prasad long before.
Soon after Liger turned out to be a dud, Puri got an unexpected call from a person whom he would meet only occasionally. The phone call from Vijayendra Prasad turned out to be an emotional one for Puri. The veteran writer urged Puri to share the script with him before taking a final call as Prasad told Puri, “I can’t see the filmmakers like you falter due to small mistakes.”
This conversation has deeply moved Puri. He shared the experience during the pre-release event of Double iSmart. Despite the offer from Prasad, Puri didn’t share the script of the film with him as he believed the quality of the film would speak in the end. But the result turned out to be another disappointment.
Finally, director Puri seems to have learnt a lesson the hard way, wrote fans on social media. As he is collaborating with actor Vijay Sethupathy for an upcoming pan-India flick, Puri must have been thinking to make every move cautiously. The shoot is likely to commence from June. The team is scouting for the locations in Chennai and Hyderabad. So fans are assuming that Puri wanted to meet Prasad to avoid mistakes in the script. Some users wrote that they’re hoping the director would score a massive hit with the film.
