Hyderabad: The global Miss World Festival concludes with its 72nd grand final on May 31 at 6:30 pm IST (1 pm GMT) at the HITEX Exhibition Centre, Hyderabad.
Telangana, which has hosted a month-long lineup of cultural events, social initiatives and competitions, now prepares for the final leg of the world’s largest beauty and purpose-driven event.
Global contestants, local spotlight
A total of 108 delegates from around the world will take the stage to compete for the Miss World 2025 crown. The grand final is expected to be a convergence of cultures and causes, reflecting the pageant’s commitment to ‘Beauty With a Purpose.’
The event will be co-hosted by Stephanie Del Valle, Miss World 2016, and popular Indian presenter Sachiin Kumbhar.
Performances by Bollywood celebrities Jacqueline Fernandez and Ishaan Khatter will add to the evening’s entertainment.
Honours and jury panel
Indian actor and humanitarian Sonu Sood will be awarded the Miss World Humanitarian Award for his community service and philanthropic work. He also joins the judging panel for the evening.
Other notable jurors include Sudha Reddy, philanthropist and host of the recent ‘Beauty With a Purpose’ Gala Dinner in Hyderabad, and Dr Caryna Turrell, Miss England 2014 and a public health expert associated with the University of Cambridge.
Julia Morley CBE, chairwoman of Miss World, will lead the jury and announce the new titleholder.
Appearances and streaming
Manushi Chhillar, Miss World 2017 and Bollywood actor, is set to appear at the event. The finale will be streamed live on SonyLiv in India and broadcast globally via www.watchmissworld.com.
Competition format
All 108 contestants will be introduced at the start. From there, ten semifinalists per continent — Americas & Caribbean, Africa, Europe, Asia & Oceania — will move to the quarterfinals, totalling 40 participants.

The remaining semifinalists have been selected by the jury based on personal interviews and will be revealed during the final.
From 40 semifinalists, the format narrows to a Top 5, then Top 2, followed by 4 continental winners, each of whom will answer a final question before the new Miss World is crowned.
The crowning moment
The evening will close with Krystyna Pyszková, the 71st Miss World, crowning her successor. The event marks the culmination of a festival aimed at empowering young women through leadership, advocacy, and cross-cultural exchange.
The Miss World 2025 Grand Final is a historic moment for Telangana, placing it firmly on the global map for culture, purpose, and international events.
