Samsung has released the One UI 7 update for the Galaxy Tab A9 in more Asian countries and in Europe. The update was first released in South Korea a couple of weeks ago and then in India a few days ago. This is the second big Android OS update for the entry-level tablet.
Galaxy Tab A9 gets One UI 7 update in Asia, Europe
The Android 15-based One UI 7 update is now available for the Galaxy Tab A9 in some Asian and European countries. The update bears firmware version X110XXU4CYE5 for the Wi-Fi-only variant of the tablet and firmware version X115XXU4CYE5 for the LTE variant of the device. It is a 2.5GB update that includes the April 2025 security patch to make the tablet more secure.

If you have a Galaxy Tab A9 series device and if you live in Asia or Europe, you can check for the new update by navigating to Settings » Software update » Download and install. Once the update is downloaded, tap the Install now button to install the update, and the tablet will then restart after a few minutes.
The Galaxy Tab A9 and the Galaxy Tab A9+ were launched in October 2023 with Android 13-based One UI 5.1.1 onboard. They received the Android 14-based One UI 6 update in April 2024 and the One UI 6.1 update in June 2024. They have now received the Android 15-based One UI 7 update.
One UI 7 brings a redesigned UI, smoother animations and transitions, new app icons for stock apps, Now Bar for displaying ongoing activities, a new battery icon, a new battery charging animation, new widgets and widget customization options, and more.
